jojena (as fan) Fischer meets his instrument as well as the history of jazz with a passion and work-ethics that I would be very surprised if he would not be among those who will strongly define their future. This album of the ZF Quintet is mature. The compositions are strong. The interplay is exceptional. It is a true pleasure to listen to the guitar boppin´ and comping. The sound of the production bows to the big ECM records and also reminds me of Glenn Gould´s "concept of the north". Wonderful. Favorite track: July 25th.
